Traditional Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 cups Semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F
  • Line cookie sheets with parchment paper
  • Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a small bowl
  • Melt the butter, pour it into the large mixing bowl, and allow it to cool for 5 minutes
  • Add the sugars and vanilla extract to the butter and beat until creamy
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
  • Gradually add the flour mixture and beat gently
  • Stir in the chocolate chips
  • Drop the dough 1 tablespoonful at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden brown
  • Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely
