Pumpkin Pie Hummus with Cinnamon Apple Chips #TwoSpoons #sponsored

These cute little pumpkin hummus bowls are perfect for serving at a party. They are easy to make ahead and totally portable making them a great option for tailgating or bringing to a potluck. Not only are they cute but they are a nutritional powerhouse and have a double dose of protein to keep you going strong long after the big game!

“By posting this recipe I am entering a recipe contest sponsored by Sabra Dipping Co. LLC, and am eligible to win prizes associated with the contest. I was not compensated for my time.”

Hummus helps boost fiber intake, especially when paired with veggies or whole grains. The mix of soluble and insoluble fiber supports heart health, and the combination of protein, complex carbohydrates and fiber aid in weight management and blood glucose control.

Hummus is a great source of PLANT PROTEIN AND HEALTHY FATS!

Healthy, unsaturated fats have been shown to sustain cardiovascular health. Specifically in hummus:
Chickpeas contribute fiber, protein, iron and B vitamins.
Tahini contributes poly- and monounsaturated fats, fiber, protein and minerals
And it only takes 2 spoonfuls of hummus a day to fulfill your bean recommendation for the week?

Now add heart healthy pumpkin with all of it's vitamins and beta carotene and we might just have the perfect snack!

Keeping a bowl of this dip in the fridge can help shrink your waistline. It only takes a few bites using my favorite cinnamon apple chips or honey pretzels to keep me feeling energized through a 60 high minute, high  impact workout!

TIME        5 MINUTES            SERVES       6-8

YOU WILL NEED

1 "Pie" pumpkin (the smaller pumpkins)

1- 10 oz container of Sabra Classic Hummus

1 can pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix)

1 cup chopped pecans

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

Cut off the top of the pumpkin and set aside. Using your hand or a large spoon, scoop out the seeds and membranes. Save the seeds for roasting!

In a small bowl, combine Sabra Original Hummus and pumpkin puree with chopped pecans, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Spoon the mixture into the pumpkin and use it as a serving bowl. Serve with Cinnamon Apple Chips and Honey pretzel twists.
