Farmer's Market Pizza #SundaySupper

Pizza happens to be the absolutely best way, hands down to get a ridiculously large assortment of flavors into your mouth all at one time. This, is why I love pizza. In fact, I could do without the bread entirely and eat pizza like I did when I was a kid, by carefully scooping off the toppings with my lips and teeth. Hey, I was a kid!!! OK, I may or may not be known to still do that..... I'm not ashamed.

Anything goes with pizza as far as I'm concerned and the toppings are fair game! I have no qualms when it comes to the toppings I choose to pile on my pie and in fact, hold them in high regard. My children who I'm sure will grow into their tastes when it comes to their culinary shortfalls have been known to wrinkle their cute little noses at the pizza's I've prepared/ordered/created and have even dared to call them "weird".

Weird is relative in my humble opinion and goat cheese, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, fennel, anchovies, roasted garlic and whole spoonfuls of fresh ricotta cheese have a very special place on top my pizza. Leave pepperoni to the unimaginative souls.

Like this Ricotta, Garlic and Mushroom Pizza which has been one of my longest running favorites!

and this Shrimp, Sun Dried Tomato and Pesto Pizza which was one of the very first things I ever made from scratch... ever.

Lately, despite the bash on "trends" I've mostly been making my crust much, much healthier {Paleo if your into that sort of thing} with cauliflower. It's cheesy, it's easy, it's just damn delicious.

Speaking of easy, would you believe me if I told you that you could have a hot, fresh, home made pizza on your table in less than an hour? Total? If you have a pizza emergency you've got to check out my 5 ingredient, thin crust, no rise, no knead, flat bread pizza dough recipe. I'm still in shock that it's one of my top 5 most popular Pins on Pinterest!

Want a super fun, totally original Stuffed Pizza Bread for your next Pizza Friday Night? Of course you do! I love this because you simply throw ALL of your favorite ingredients right into the bowl with your dough, let it rise for an hour and shape it into a loaf of bread! The kids LOVE this!

Farmer's markets are few and far between here in the Valley of the Sun. Most especially during the summer they are hard to come by. If we were left to our own devices, we would surely be surviving on cacti pods, flowers and fruits, shriveled dates, salsa and margaritas.

Luckily, few things do grow well here with a little help and we can still find a variety of vegetables at the market during the hot summer months. Zucchini, corn, onions, peppers, the last of the tomatoes/tomatillos and if you're really lucky, basil.

Everything you need to make a last minute, Farmer's Market Pizza!
